FREE! Monthly POLST Training Webinar
Held once each month, this free webinar provides orientation, training, and advice on how to hold an advance care planning conversation using the California POLST form (Physician Orders for Life Sustaining Treatment. This program is presented by the San Diego Coalition for Compassionate Care and hosted by the CSU Shiley Haynes Institute for Palliative Care st CSUSM. The webinar is held on the second Wednesday of each month at 10:00am or 12:00pm, alternating month to month:
- February 14, 2024: 12pm-1pm
- March 13, 2024: 12pm-1pm
- April 10, 2024: 12pm-1pm
- May 8, 2024: 12pm- 1pm
- June 12, 2024: 12pm-1pm

What Gives Your Life Meaning Resource Fair returns to the CSUSM campus on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, University Hour!
Join us on the Kellogg Library Plaza for our annual resource fair that asks you to consider what gives your life meaning and who needs to know it, as a way to think about advance planning for future healthcare needs. What is it that you are living for, and what does it mean to preserve and protect a quality of life that's worth living? Stop by the resource fair for free pizza and drinks! Learn more about advance care planning, resources for family caregivers, and services available to students and families facing long-term serious illness. Think about what gives your life meaning, think about what's important to you, and learn how to use that knowledge as a basis for advance care planning.

- Where to locate resources for palliative care needs
