Chris Tresse

Chris Tresse joined Bernstein in 2001 as a Financial Advisor in their San Francisco office. In 2005, he was made a Principal of the firm and relocated to help launch the San Diego practice. Advising affluent families and charitable foundations, Chris works closely with clients on investment planning and strategic asset allocation. Previously, he was a director at Vividence, an Internet consulting firm, where he managed the strategic client group. Prior to that, he managed the San Francisco office of Baseline Financial Services, an equity research firm serving institutional money managers. Chris began his career with IBM as a marketing associate in the firm's New York banking office.  

 He earned a BS in computer science from Fairfield University. He serves on the foundation board and investment committee of Rady Children's Hospital San Diego. He is the former chair of the investment committee at California State University, San Marcos. He is also an advisor and leading fundraiser for Pedal the Cause and founding board member of Curebound, which awards millions of dollars annually to help further cancer research in San Diego (UCSD, Salk, SBP, Scripps Research, LJI and Rady Children’s).
